Two Journeys
One Delusion

A Story of Spectacle, Status, and Self-Deception

In the fog-drenched winter of Delhi, the Kumar family splits into two ideological camps—Mr. and Mrs. Kumar, bound for the sacred Mahakumbh Mela, and their children, Rhea and Rohan, off to witness Coldplay live in Mumbai. Both events, though seemingly worlds apart, demand faith, endurance, and the ability to convince oneself that the discomfort is worth it.

As Mr. Kumar wades through the chaotic devotion of the Kumbh and Mrs. Kumar navigates WhatsApp-certified spirituality, their children experience the curated exclusivity of a global concert, where status is as important as the music. Through stampedes and selfie lines, existential doubt and overpriced coffee, the family returns home to a quiet realization—perhaps the search for meaning was the same all along, only packaged differently.

Witty, immersive, and deeply reflective, Two Journeys, One Delusion is a sharply observed satire on modern belonging, class, and the illusions we create to justify our choices.
